West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats defeated the Portland Beavers, 11-6, on Tuesday night at Raley Field to end the team's season-high 4-game losing streak. The Cats' bats were on fire, scoring 11 runs in the game's first 5 innings. Sacramento outfielder Matt Watson (4-4, 3 R, 3B, HR, 6 RBI) launched a three-run homer to right-center field in the 4th and fell just a double short of hitting for the first cycle in River Cats franchise history. River Cats starter Randy Keisler got his third win of the season, throwing 5 innings and giving up just 4 hits, 1 run (earned), 3 walks and striking out 5. Portland's first run of the game, coming on an RBI walk by Jack Cust in the 5th, ended Keisler's consecutive scoreless inning streak at 17 2/3 innings. With the win, the Cats pull to 12-13 and just 3 ½ games back of first place Las Vegas in the PCL's Pacific Conference Southern Division.
