Round Rock, TX (May 2, 2006) - For the fourth time this season Express CF Charlton Jimerson led off with a first inning homer Tuesday to help Round Rock take an early 1-0 lead over the Oklahoma RedHawks at the Dell Diamond.

Lefty starter Philip Barzilla pitched two outstanding innings, and his teammates helped by scorching RedHawks starter and loser John Hudgins for five runs on four hits in the third inning. The big blow in that inning came on a bases-loaded double from 2B Brooks Conrad and a sacrifice RBI from DH Alan Zinter. RF Brian Gordon's solo HR made it 6-0 for the E-Train.

The RedHawks touched Barzilla for three runs on four hits in the top of the fourth to narrow the gap to 6-3. Barzilla left the game after four innings after being nicked by a hot shot base hit up the middle.

The Express picked up its seventh and final run in the fourth on Luke Scott's sacrifice fly that scored Charlton Jimerson to make it 7-3.

Right hander Chris Baker came on and pitched four shutout innings for the Express, striking out three to take his second win on the season.

Oklahoma got a two-out solo homer from backup catcher and former TCU star Justin Hatcher in the top of the 9th to make the final 7-4.

Game three takes place at 12:05 on Wednesday. Righty Jason Hirsh goes to the mound for the Express on D.A.R.E day.
