River Cats and Sutter Health Announce '07 Summer Caravan Schedule

West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats will begin the 7th Annual Sutter Health Summer Caravan on Tuesday, May 22nd at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, team officials announced today. The Caravan will include a total of five (5) stops through the Sacramento region in May and June including stops in Roseville, Auburn and Davis.

River Cats Manager Tony DeFrancesco, starting pitcher Shane Komine, outfielder Jason Perry and outfielder Brian Stavisky, along with River Cats' Official Team Mascot Dinger will be on hand at the Caravan's first stop in Sacramento on Tuesday, May 22nd. DeFrancesco and the players will sign autographs and visit patients at Sutter Memorial Hospital from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The complete schedule for Tuesday's visit as follows:

10:15 a.m. River Cats players play Wiffle Ball with pediatric patients (7th floor Auditorium)

11:15-12:00 River Cats players/Dinger to visit with pediatric patients in their rooms

12:00-12:30 River Cats players/Dinger to visit with new moms and dads on Maternal Newborn floor

"Participating in the Sutter Health Summer Caravan is one of the highlights of my year in Sacramento," said DeFrancesco, who guided the River Cats to Back-to-Back PCL Championships from 2003-04. "It is very important to me and my entire team that we give back to the Sacramento community and make this a better place to live."
