Ring In The New Year Say goodbye to 2010 and begin the celebration of welcoming 2011 when the Monarchs host the Providence Bruins in a New Year's Eve celebration game on Friday, December 31 at 7:00 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena. The first 3,000 fans will receive Glow in the Dark Thunderstix, courtesy of Manchester Subaru. Also, the first intermission will feature the Great Baby Race! For the most exciting part of the night, enjoy the largest indoor firework show in New Hampshire following the game! The Monarchs start the new year on the road with a match-up with the Springfield Falcons at the MassMutual Center on Saturday, January 1 at 7:00 p.m. and a 3 p.m. contest with the Connecticut Whale on Sunday, January 2 at the XL Center.

Finding His Niche Left wing Richard Clune has been a mainstay in the Monarchs lineup since his debut with Manchester on November 19, 2008. Acquired from the Dallas Stars in exchange for forward Lauri Tukonen in July of that same year, Clune has played a brand of hockey that has endeared himself to the coaching staff, his teammates in the dressing room and the fans of Monarchs Country. This season, Clune has four goals and four assists for eight points (4-4=8), with two of his goals coming Wednesday evening in Adirondack.
Monarchs Game Rescheduled For March 16 The Monarch have rescheduled the postponed game on Monday, December 27 to Wednesday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. against the Springfield Falcons at the Verizon Wireless Arena, Monarchs President Darren Abbott announced on Thursday. The game that was originally scheduled for Monday, December 27 in Manchester was postponed due to inclement weather.
