TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The eighth and final meeting of the season and the Bullies fourth visit to Richmond. ‘Gades are 2-5 against the Bullies, 2-1 at home, with both wins coming in overtime. Lars Pettersen has six points vs. the Bullies. Kevin Colley has nine vs. Richmond. The ‘Gades are seventh in the Northeast Division, seven points behind Trenton and the last playoff spot. The Bullies lead the Northeast by six points over Greensboro.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Gades beat Lexington 2-0 here Wednesday. The clubs battled through 46:35 of a scoreless tie before Jon Zion scored. Dan Vandermeer added an insurance goal in the final minute. Marc Magliarditi earned the shutout with 25 saves. Atlantic City lost 5-2 at Reading Tuesday. The Bullies surrendered a pair of shorthanded goals in that game.

‘GADES NOTES: Lars Pettersen was a runner up for ECHL Player of the Week. Marc Magliarditi was runner up for ECHL Goalie of the Week. The ‘Gades have won five straight home games by a combined score of 23-9. Richmond plays three more at home this week to conclude a five game homestand. The ‘Gades play nine straight road games in March. Richmond has lost their last eight road games and is winless is 10 straight away from home. The ‘Gades 22 home wins is the most in the league. Their six road wins is tied for fewest in the ECHL. Richmond suffered a loss when leading after two periods for the first time this season last Wednesday at Atlantic City. Garret Stroshein remains on re-call with Portland of the AHL. He is the seventh ‘Gade to be called up this season. Branislav Kvetan refused to report following a trade with Louisiana and has been suspended. The ‘Gades placed Johnathan St. Louis on waivers Monday. Lars Pettersen and Brad Church have points in five straight games. Peter Hogan's four game scoring streak ended Wednesday. The ‘Gades have 10 former NHL draft picks on their roster. Richmond has won their last three games, their first three game winning streak since December. The ‘Gades have outscored opponents 9-3 over the streak. Richmond's last four game winning streak was November 9 to 16. The Richmond has allowed one even strength goal in their last three games. Daniel Goneau is tied for 12th in the league in scoring. Lars Pettersen is tied for 15th in the ECHL in points. Jon Zion is ninth in scoring by defensemen and leads the league in points by rookie D-men. Leon Hayward leads the ECHL in shorthanded goals by rookies (4). Marc Magliarditi is fifth in the league in minutes played. Brad Church is fifth in shots on goal. The ‘Gades are the least penalized team in the ECHL. They are sixth in penalty killing (82.9%), tied for second in shorthanded goals (14), and seventh in fewest shots on goal allowed (30 per game).

BULLIES NOTES: The Bullies have seven players away on AHL call-ups. A nine game Bullies unbeaten streak ended with the loss at Reading Tuesday. The Bullies play three games in three nights this weekend. The Bullies are fifth in the league in scoring and seventh in GAA.

NEXT UP: The ‘Gades host Reading Saturday at 7:35 (7:20 broadcast on renegades.com). The ‘Gades then embark upon a nine game road trip. Atlantic City hosts Charlotte tomorrow night.
