TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Binghamton Mets will meet in game two of a three-game series...The Flying Squirrels took advantage of an error in the top of the third inning and parlayed it into a five-run rally, scoring three unearned runs in the frame to claim a 6-2 win over the B-Mets in the series opener on Friday night in front of 3,818 fans at NYSEG Stadium.

FIVE ALIVE: The Flying Squirrels rallied for five runs in the top of the third inning, taking advantage of the B-Mets' Eastern League-leading 138th error to score three unearned runs...It was the largest offensive inning for the club since it scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning 8/5 against Portland...The club scored eight runs total in the first three games of their current six-game road trip in Harrisburg...Richmond improved to 40-7 when scoring five runs or more.
KING OF THE ROAD: First baseman Wes Hodges went 2-for-4 last night with a RBI giving him hits in three of the first four games on the Flying Squirrels' six-game road trip...The 26-year-old is batting .390 (39-for-100) in 25 games on the road...Six of his seven home runs have been hit on the road and 17 of his 29 RBIs have come on the road...He is hitting .225 (20-for-89) with seven doubles, a triple, and a home run in 27 games at The Diamond...In 27 games since the Eastern League All-Star break, Hodges is batting .363 (37-for-102) with seven doubles, four home runs, 15 RBIs, and 12 runs scored.
SAN FRANCISCO: Outfielder Francisco Peguero went 2-for-4 last night with a double, three RBIs, and a run scored...It was the fourth multi-RBI game for the 23-year-old in 47 games with the Flying Squirrels and his first since hitting a walk-off grand slam and driving in four runs 7/5 against Trenton...The Dominican is 10-for-24 (.417) over his last six games with a double, a triple, four RBIs, and five runs scored, raising his batting average from .272 to .290.
POCKETS PICKED: Since 7/9, opposing baserunners are 39-for-44 (.886) over Richmond's last 34 games in stole base attempts...Over that span, the only baserunner to get thrown out by a catcher was New Hampshire's Adeiny Hechavarria by Johnny Monell 8/2...The other four runners thrown out on the bases where caught by pitchers...The Flying Squirrels rank 10th in the 12-team Eastern League with a stolen base against efficiency of .258 (40-for-155).
HOME AND AWAY: The Flying Squirrels are 39-22 overall at home - the best home record in the league - and they are batting .261 in 60 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.52 runs per game at home (276R/61G)....Overall, the club is 25-32 on the road, and is batting .225 and averaging 3.58 runs per game (204R/57G) in 57 road contests.
PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 3.32 ERA through 118 games and has allowed a league-low 449 runs...Richmond's pitching staff has allowed two runs or less in 46 of its 118 games (39%)...Starting pitching has allowed three runs or less in 85 of the team's 118 games (72%) and the club is 57-28 in those contests.
