The 6-foot-4 first baseman recorded 13 multi-hit games in 29 games played, and finished May with a seven-game hitting streak, during which he hit .424 (14-33) with a home run, six RBI and six runs scored. He started May with six hits and five RBI in his first 13 at-bats, earning him Phillies Player of the Week honors from April 27-May 3.

The 22-year-old Hoskins sits atop the South Atlantic League with 97 total bases, ranks second in hits (62) and slugging percentage (.513), third in RBI (33) and on-base percentage (.407), and fifth in batting average (.328). He was selected by the Phillies in the fifth round of the 2014 draft out of Cal State Sacramento and was signed by Joey Davis.
