Rome, GA - The Lexington Legends topped the Rome Braves 10-2 Tuesday night at State Mutual Stadium in front of 2,010 fans. The game was delayed 49 minutes due to rain.
Lexington got on the scoreboard in the third inning with two runs thanks to a run scoring double by Elior Hernandez and an RBI single by Ryan O'Hearn. Rome tied the contest in the bottom of the inning on a single by Omar Obregon to score a run and a wild pitch for the second score of the frame. The Legends took the lead for good in the fourth on Alfredo Escalera's run scoring single for the 3-2 score. Lexington added a run in sixth, three in the seventh, two in the eighth, and one in the ninth for the 10-2 final.
Kyle Zimmer (1-0) gets the win for Lexington while Carlos Salazar (1-3) is hit with the loss. Colin Rogers (1) earns his first save.
