RHP Wall Recalled to Dodgers, LHP De La Cruz Joins Isotopes

RHP Josh Wall was recalled to the Los Angeles Dodgers, effective April 15. LHP Kelvin De La Cruz joins the Albuquerque Isotopes today from the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts.
The Louisiana native made his Major League debut last season with the Dodgers on July 22 at New York (NL) earning his first big league win pitching a scoreless inning of relief. He went 1-0 with a 4.76 ERA (3 ER/5.2 IP) in seven appearances with Los Angeles in 2012.
In four games with the Topes this season, the righty had one save and tossed 4.1 innings of relief with a 2.08 ERA, surrendering two runs (one earned) on three hits. Wall was selected by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft. He led the Pacific Coast League with 28 saves as the Albuquerque closer in 2012.
De La Cruz will be joining a Triple-A roster for the first time in his career. The 6-foot-5 southpaw was signed by the Dodgers as a free agent on November 21, 2012. He spent seven years in the Indians organization and one with Detroit amassing a 40-30 record with a 4.18 ERA (290 ER/624.0 IP). The Dominican native is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER/5.0 IP) in three relief appearance with Chattanooga this season.
The Topes begin a four-game series tonight April 16 against the Omaha Storm Chasers at 5:35 PM from Werner Park. RHP Matt Magill (0-0, 5.00) is set to start for Albuquerque against Omaha's lefty Will Smith (1-1, 4.50 ERA). Listen to all of the action as Josh Suchon has the call on 610AM.
