ROUND ROCK, Texas - RHP Phil Klein has been recalled by the Texas Rangers, the club announced Thursday afternoon. The righty made one appearance for the Round Rock Express on April 18 in a game that was eventually suspended in the first inning.

Klein started the season with the Rangers, making two relief appearances and not giving up a hit while striking out three batters. He was optioned to Round Rock on April 13. Klein threw one inning for the E-Train on April 18, allowing just one hit and striking out one.

There is no corresponding move at this time, giving the Express 24 active players, one below the Pacific Coast League limit.

The Express continue their series with Omaha tonight with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. Texas State University head football coach Everett Withers is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
