April 21, 2016 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release

Thursday's game between the New Orleans Zephyrs and Iowa Cubs was suspended by rain in the top of the seventh inning.

The game will resume on Friday at 5 p.m., followed by the regularly-scheduled 7 p.m. game and fireworks.

Iowa took a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh on a double into the right field corner by Tim Federowicz to score Ryan Kalish. When the game resumes, Iowa will have Federowicz on second base with two outs.

Dylan Axelrod, making his first start of the year for the Zephyrs, blanked the Cubs on three hits over five innings. He was given a 1-0 lead in the fourth when the Z's strung together three straight singles, capped by Austin Nola's soft liner to right to score Cole Gillespie.

The Cubs tied the game in the sixth against reliever Jo-Jo Reyes after pinch hitter Juan Perez singled to right, raced to third on a broken-bat single by John Andreoli and scored on a slow grounder by Arismendy Alcantara.
