Bees Lose Pitchers Duel

The Salt Lake Bees have now lost back to back games for the first time this season, as they dropped a 3-2 decision to the Fresno Grizzlies on Wednesday night. Fresno plated an unearned run in the third inning and added two in the fourth on a two run homer by Jon Kemmer on a 2-2 pitch off of Salt Lake starter Tyler Skaggs. The unearned run for the Grizzlies was the PCL high 18th allowed by the Bees this season, as they have now committed a league worst 17 errors.

The Bees got two of those runs back on a two out, two run double by Quintin Berry in the fifth inning. Salt Lake had a chance to tie the game in seventh after a one out triple by Kyle Kubitza, but Juan Graterol struck out and Berry grounded out to end the inning. Each team managed just three hits. The unearned run for the Grizzlies was the PCL high 18th allowed by the Bees this season, as they have now committed a league worst 17 errors. Skaggs (0-1) took the loss, as he went three and two-third innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on two hits with four strikeouts and three walks. Ramon Ramirez came out of the Salt Lake bullpen and worked three scoreless innings.
