April 21, 2016 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Salt Lake Bees News Release
SALT LAKE CITY (April 21, 2016) - The Salt Lake Bees are offering an unprecedented VIP package to raise money for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF) at the team's 10th annual "Pack the Park Pink Night" at Smith's Ballpark on Saturday, May 7.
Fans can purchase an exclusive VIP package that includes a customized pink Bees jersey. Donors can have the name of their choice printed on a jersey to honor a friend or family member that has battled cancer. Bees players and coaches will wear the jersey during the game.
"Never before has a Minor League Baseball team worn names on the backs of their jerseys that were not their own," said Bees General Manager Marc Amicone. "It's an opportunity for the team to honor cancer victims and survivors in our community and also raise money for Huntsman Cancer Foundation so we can help eradicate cancer."
Also included in the VIP package is a chance to take morning batting practice on the field, a catered lunch and 10 tickets to the game. Afterwards, donors will be invited onto the field to meet the Bees player that wore their jersey and to watch fireworks.
The package is available for a minimum donation of $300 to Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Donations can be made by contacting Huntsman Cancer Foundation Sponsorship Manager George Mathis at gmathis@huntsmanfoundation.org or 801-584-5834. Only 28 VIP packages will be sold. Additional details about the VIP packages are available at www.slbees.com. All items in the package are donated by the Bees without cost, with 100 percent of all funds raised directly benefiting Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
The team will also giveaway 500 pink T-shirts at the gates. An additional 1,500 pink T-shirts will be available for a $5 donation to HCF.
Tickets can be purchased at Smith's Ballpark box office, at all Smith's Tix outlets and Smith's Food & Drug Stores, by phone at 801-325-BEES (2337) or online at www.slbees.com, with no additional fees.
