RHP Brad Goldberg promoted to Charlotte from Double-A Birmingham

RHP Brad Goldberg has appeared in 17 games this season with Double-A Birmingham and is 0-0 with a 2.82 ERA (34 SO/22.1 IP). The 28-year-old was originally drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 10th round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft. He made 30 appearances with the Charlotte Knights last season and went 3-2 with five saves and a 3.35 ERA (47 SO/40.1 IP). Goldberg made his major league debut on June 3, 2017 with the White Sox and posted a 0-0 mark with an 8.25 ERA in 11 games with Chicago (12.0 IP). Goldberg represented the Knights at the 2016 Triple-A Baseball All-Star Game, which was held at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte.
*RHP Ricardo Pinto was recently designated for assignment (May 28) and is not on Charlotte's active roster.
