Harrisburg Senators News Release

Harrisburg, PA - Bill Rhinehart certainly knows how to win over a crowd. In his fourth game at Double-A, he launched a first-inning grand slam as the Harrisburg Senators trumped the Bowie Baysox, 6-4, to save a split in the four-game series. Rhinehart has ten RBIs in his first four games as a Senator.

The Senators fell behind, 1-0, in the top of the 1st inning on a sacrifice fly by Lou Montanez. They came right back the bottom of the 1st. Mike Daniel drew a leadoff walk, William Bergolla singled and Leonard Davis laid down a bunt for a base hit to load the bases. Rhinehart followed by smashing an opposite-field grand slam to left, giving Harrisburg a 4-1 lead.

Bowie RHP Chorye Spoone locked in after that, holding the Senators scoreless in his remaining four innings of work. The Baysox climbed back into the game when Nolan Reimold and Matt Wieters clubbed back-to-back solo homers in the top of the 4th to cut it to a 4-3 margin. Reimold went deep again in the top of the 6th, his fifth home run of the four-game series to tie the game at 4-4.

Harrisburg took the lead back in the bottom of the 6th. Garrett Guzman drilled a solo homer to right-center and Daniel sliced an RBI single to left to make it a 6-4 advantage.

The Senators' bullpen took over from there, firing three scoreless innings.

RHP Bobby Brownlie started the game and picked up the win to stay perfect at 7-0. Bowie RHP Felix Romero took the loss to dip to 3-3. RHP Adam Carr notched his third save of the year with a perfect 9th inning.

The Senators improved to 46-38. The Baysox dropped to 48-38.

The Senators hit the road to take on the Altoona Curve in a four-game series at Blair County Ballpark. Game time Friday is set for 7:05 PM. Eastern League All-Star RHP Jordan Zimmermann (2-2, 4.33 ERA) takes on Altoona LHP Kyle Bloom (0-4, 5.33 ERA).
