Akron RubberDucks News Release

The Aeros made a roster move today, placing OF Jose Constanza on the seven-day disabled list with a strained left shoulder. The move is retroactive to July 1st and leaves the Aeros with 22 players on the active roster, two below the Eastern League limit.

Constanza has enjoyed a fine season after a rough start in his first season at the Double-A level, riding a five-game hitting streak (including four straight multi-hit games) to raise his average to a season-high .293 following his last game Monday at Erie. The native of Santo Domingo, DR has driven in 27 runs, ranks third on the team with 77 hits, and leads the club with 15 stolen bases. He has drawn 23 walks and struck out only 27 times in 263 at-bats this year.
