The York Revolution defeated the Road Warriors 10-6 Tuesday night in front of 3,229 fans at Sovereign Bank Stadium. There was no shortage of offense from either team with a combined 27 hits between the two. It was the seventh consecutive win for the Revolution and they have now won all five games in the second half making it their best start to the second half ever.

The Road Warriors began the game bringing one run across in the first to give them an early 1-0 lead. With 2B Marcos Cabral hitting a double to the right field corner, he was then brought home when 3B Melvin Dorta slapped a bloop single to shallow right-center field.

York answered right back in the bottom half of the first with CF Scott Grimes and RF Chris Walker getting on base by drawing a walk and hit by pitch respectively. Then DH Jose Herrera belted a ground rule double to left-center scoring both to give the Revolution a 2-1 lead.

The Road Warriors played small ball the following inning by scoring two runs on five singles taking back their previous one-run advantage. Cabral and SS Amadeo Zazueta were the two Road Warriors that hit RBI singles to bring in the two runs.

The Road Warriors added a couple of runs to their lead in the top of the fourth inning to take a 5-2 advantage. With the bases loaded, Zazueta singled in a run and was followed by a sacrifice fly RBI from DH Vic Gutierrez. The Revolution were able to induce an inning-ending double play to prevent any further damage.

The Revolution opened the game up in the bottom half of the frame with a five-run inning to give them a 7-5 lead. The first run came home on a two-out RBI single by Grimes and after a base on balls to Walker loading the bases, 2B Ramon Castro tattooed a grand slam to left field giving York the lead for good, his second consecutive game with a homerun.

York would add to their lead in the fifth inning when 1B Chris Nowak hit a towering solo homer to left-center making it an 8-5 game in favor of the Revolution.

In a game where both teams had double digits in hits through six innings, York added an unearned run when Grimes scored on a passed ball in the sixth giving them a 9-5 lead.

The Revolution's offense put runs on the board for the fourth consecutive inning as SS Eric Eymann smacked an RBI single to right bringing home LF Val Majewski to put York ahead 10-5 through seven innings.

The Road Warriors scored one more run in the ninth with Dorta hitting his second RBI single of the game.

York Revolution pitcher Shaun Garceau earned the win improving to 2-5 on the season, pitching a very strong three innings after coming on in relief of starter Jesus Sanchez. Ronnie Morales pitched a scoreless seventh, Sean Stidfole struck out the side in order in the eighth, and Geoff Geary finished it allowing just the one run with two outs in the ninth.

Notes: It was York's 21st comeback victory of the season and third in-a-row. Nowak has hit four home runs in his last five games. The Revs are a season-high 14 games over .500, matching a club record. This is the first time in York's history that they have had three winning streaks of seven or more in a season. Grimes is now on a seven-game hitting streak and has hit safely in 10 of his past 11 games. The Revolution have hit 46 home runs in the last 29 games. York's Zac Cline will make his season debut against the Road Warriors' Luke Massetti (5-7, 5.35) in Wednesday's series finale with Latino Night at Sovereign Bank Stadium.
