San Diego Padres rehabbing outfielder Hunter Renfroe went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs Wednesday but the El Paso Chihuahuas lost to the Tacoma Rainiers 5-4. El Paso trailed by two entering the ninth, scored a run and brought the tying run to third, but a deep fly ball to right field by Brett Nicholas was caught on the warning track to end the game.

Auston Bousfield went 3-for-5 atop the Chihuahuas' order Wednesday and has reached base multiple times in all three games of the Tacoma series. Shane Peterson started the ninth-inning rally with a pinch-hit single, extending his hitting streak to six games. Former Rainier Jonathan Aro threw two shutout innings in his former ballpark, his second straight scoreless appearance at Cheney Stadium.

Luis Urias also went 3-for-5, his second consecutive game reaching base three times.
