Hudson Valley Renegades News Release

Wappingers Falls, NY - Behind Nolan Gannon's six scoreless innings on Friday night, the Hudson Valley Renegades shut out the Staten Island Yankees 3-0 at Dutchess Stadium. With the win, the 'Gades snapped a three game losing streak and improved to 5-3 on the season.

Second Baseman Jace Conrad kicked off his professional career in style, leading off the bottom of the first off with a sharp single to right, and then advancing to second on an error by Yankee outfielder Austin Aune. Just three pitches later, Conrad would steal third and come around to score on a throwing error by Staten Island catcher Radley Haddad.

That would be all the run support Gannon needed on the night. The right handed hurler put up six scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and fanning eight Staten Island batters.

Conrad continued his excellent debut in the fifth inning when he singled home Coty Blanchard to give the 'Gades a 3-0 lead. He would finish two for four with an RBI and a run scored. Wilmer Dominguez singled to bring home Bralin Jackson in the second inning, giving Hudson Valley their second run of the game. Dominguez capped off his evening with an RBI and two hits in three trips to the plate.

Issac Gil shut the door for his squad, tossing three scoreless innings and striking out five. He earned his first save of the season to go with his 2-0 overall record. Gil and Gannon combined to hold the Staten Island offense to just three hits on the night.
