TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Second of eight meetings. First of four here. Titans beat the 'Gades 4-3 in their first meeting. 'Gades were 2-3 vs. the Titans at home last season. Paul Spadafora had two goals in the first meeting. Adam Edinger added two assists. Brad Church and Lars Pettersen had a goal and assist for the 'Gades. The Titans lead the Northeast Division with seven points and have won two straight. The ‘Gades are looking for their first back to back wins.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Gades earned a 6-5 OT win vs. Charlotte here last night. The ‘Gades fell behind 1-0 and 2-1, rallied for three second period goals to grab a 4-3 lead, and scored late in the third to make it 5-3. Charlotte scored twice in the final 29 seconds to force OT. Jayme Filipowicz gave the ‘Gades the win with a power play goal in OT. Six ‘Gades scored goals. Filipowicz had a goal and an assist. Lars Pettersen and Jon Zion had two assists. The ‘Gades and Checkers combined for 106 PIM. The Titans drilled Reading 6-2 at Trenton last night. The Titans blew the game open with four third period goals. Trenton outshot Reading 40-15 while killing off 10 Royals power plays. Eric Betournay had two goals and an assist in his Titans debut.

‘GADES NOTES: Four ‘Gades scored their first pro goals last night: Alex Matieroukine, Kerry Ellis-Toddington, Leon Hayward, and Jamie Herrington. The ‘Gades have two shorthanded goals in their first four games. Marc Magliarditi has started four in a row in net. Richmond plays the second of back to back home games tonight. The ‘Gades play 10 of their first 13 games on the road. Last season the ‘Gades finished with a better record on the road than at home. The ‘Gades have won their last five home openers. The 'Gades dressed seven rookies in the lineup on opening night. Peter Hogan has been released by Utah of the AHL and is expected to join the ‘Gades for their game at Charlotte Wednesday. Richmond placed Ian Turner on the 7-Day IR10/16. The ‘Gades now have 18 players on the active roster. Richmond acquired the rights to RW Nick Lent from Columbus. He is expected to join the roster next week. The opposition has scored first in all four games this season. Brian Goudie leads all active ECHL players in career PIM with 2,078. He is 166 minutes behind league record holder Jason Clarke. Goudie is fourth all-time in PIM. Magliarditi's win last night moved him into a tie for ninth (with Mark Bernard) on the ECHL's career wins list with 112

TITANS NOTES: Trenton plays three games in three nights this week. The Titans will have five players in the lineup tonight who did not play in the first meeting between these clubs. Trenton's first eight games this season are against Northeast Division opponents. Bill Armstrong is the Titans fourth coach in four years. Trenton has had back to back 100+ point seasons. Scott Bertoli is tied for fourth in the league in points with six.
