COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl watched a 2-goal, first period lead disappear as the Southeast Division rival Columbia Inferno rallied for a 4-3 victory at the BI-LO Center Saturday night. It was the fourth straight game that Greenville squandered a 2-goal lead.

ALEXANDRE BURROWS and JONATHAN ROY scored first period goals to give the home team a 2-0 lead. Roy has points in each of Greenville's first 4 games (2-5-7 points). The Grrrowl brought a 3-2 lead into the final frame, but Tim Smith tied the game 72 seconds into the third period. The game-winning goal was scored by Rejean Stringer, on the powerplay, with 5:27 left in the third period. Grrrowl goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT was down and Stringer sent a backhand shot under the crossbar to win it for Columbia. Garnett finished with 19 saves as Greenville outshot Columbia, 33-23.

The Grrrowl (1-1-2, 4 points) are back in action Tuesday night as they travel to Charleston, SC to face the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:05 PM (NewsRadio 1330 & 950, WORD).

Greenville's next home game is scheduled for Friday, October 25th against the Columbus Cottonmouths (7:05 PM). Tickets are on sale at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets.
