
Renegades Defeat ValleyCats 4-2

TROY, NY - Dexture McCall went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Antonio Nunez drove in a run with an RBI double as well, but the Tri-City ValleyCats fell to the Hudson Valley Renegades 4-2 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, on Friday night.
After the Renegades took an early 1-0 lead with a run in the top of the second, Aaron Mizell doubled to center field to lead off the bottom of the fourth, then scored on McCall's RBI double to left field, to tie the game.
Tri-City went on to take a 2-1 lead, when Nunez doubled down the left-field line to drive home Hector Roa, with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Unfortunately, the Renegades scored two runs in the top of the eighth, and one in the ninth, while holding the 'Cats scoreless the rest of the way.
The two teams will play on more game at "The Joe" on Saturday night, before concluding their season series at Dutchess Stadium, in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., the home of the Renegades, on Sunday.
On the mound for the Tri-City on Saturday will be LHP Alex Winkelman (5-0, 1.63), with RHP Angel Yepez (4-2, 2.96) getting the start for the Hudson Valley.
