Reliever Kelvin Perez Promoted to Triple-A

The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Friday that right-handed reliever Kelvin Perez has been promoted to Triple-A Scranton and southpaw Jeremy Bleich has been activated from the team's disabled list. Additionally, following Thursday afternoon's game the team announced that INF Kevin Mahoney was transferred back to Trenton from Scranton and OF Shane Brown was placed on the DL.

Perez, an Eastern League All-Star in 2012, heads back to Triple-A following nine relief outings with the Thunder this season. He went 0-1 with a 2.87 ERA, allowing five runs and 13 hits in 15.2 innings of work. He struck out 15 batters and walked only four with Trenton in 2013.
