Ontario Reign News Release

Reign Grind Thunder Down 3-1 Anderson stellar for Ontario in victory over Pacific Division rivals ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (42-17-3-4), four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, extended their point streak to nine games picking up the 3-1 win over the Stockton Thunder (29-29-0-6) before a sellout crowd of 9,584 at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Saturday night.

The first two periods went scoreless, despite a combined total of eight power-play chances. It wasn't until the 5:53 mark of the third period that the first goal was scored. The marker came off the stick of rookie Rocco Carzo who extended his point streak to nine games with the unassisted, topshelf goal off a rebound from Brian Foster's pads.

At 10:37 Kyle Bigos earned his first goal in a Reign uniform with a snapshot that whizzed past Foster. The helpers came from Matt White and Dylan Hood to give Ontario a 2-0 lead. With 2:43 left in regulation, the Thunder solved J.P. Anderson and got their 37th shot past the Reign goalie off the stick of Matt Bergland.

In the waning moments of the game, Stockton pulled their goalie for an extra attacker giving Carzo a wide open net to fling a long shot between the pipes for his second of the night. Bigos earned his second point with the assist.

Anderson earned the win with 38 stops; Foster took the loss with 15 saves.
