Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Look to Clinch Playoff Spot Today against Road Warriors

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays kick off a five-game road trip today against the Greenville Road Warriors at 3:00 p.m. at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Today is the 15 of 16 meetings between the two teams this season.

Playoff Watch:

The Stingrays can clinch a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the 20 time in team history today if they win against the Road Warriors.

Series at a Glance:

The Stingrays fell to the Road Warriors 5-1 in the last meeting on Sunday, March 23 at the North Charleston Coliseum and hold an 8-4-0-2 record against their in-state rivals. Forward Peter Boyd, who scored his second natural hat trick of the season last night in a 3-2 overtime win over Fort Wayne, leads the Stingrays against the Road Warriors with 16 points (six goals, 10 assists).

The Hot Hands:

Forward Dale Mitchell is riding a six-game point streak (three goals, five assists) heading into this afternoon's matchup. Boyd has points in six of his last eight games (five goals, seven assists).
