ANCHORAGE, AK - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL ¬â¢s Los Angeles Kings, fell 5-3 to the Alaska Aces in Anchorage Friday night. All-Star center Aaron Lewadniuk notched his ninth and tenth goals of the season.
The Reign struck first, as Lewadniuk corralled a loose puck to the right of the Alaska net and buried it for the 1-0 lead. The Aces leveled it at 18:00 of the first period with a power play goal by Mark Isherwood.
Ontario grabbed a 2-1 lead half way through the second frame with a power play goal of its own, when Dusty Collins ¬â¢ centering pass deflected off of an Aces defender and into the net. Alaska jumped out to a 3-2 lead with goals by Scott Howes and Garry Nunn 66 seconds apart late in the second period.
