
Reid earns ECHL honors

FLORENCE, SC â The East Coast Hockey League today announced that Pee Dee Pride forward Matt Reid is the C & T Hockey Products ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for October.
Reid finished the season's opening month with a plus-11 rating, three points better than the runner up, Louisiana's Cal Benazic who finished the month at plus-8. During the Pride's eight games in October, Reid finished even or better in seven contests.
The third-year player from Massena, N.Y. has posted at least one point in seven of the Pride's first eight games this season. Reid is tied for the ECHL lead with 12 assists, and is tied for third in the league in scoring with 13 points.
Reid's best game of the month came on October 19 in a 7-2 win over Florida. In that contest, he collected four assists and finished with a plus-3.
The Pride hit the ice at the Florence Civic Center tonight for a 7:30 face off with the Augusta Lynx. Good seats are still available for the game, and can be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office.
