Reich and Goehring Sign AHL Contracts with Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (September 22, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed left wing Jeremy Reich, goaltender Karl Goehring and defenseman Andre Lakos to American Hockey League contracts.

Reich, 25, appeared in 72 games with Syracuse (14g, 37a, 150 PIM's) and nine games with Columbus (1a, 20 PIM's) last season. In 265 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Reich has tallied 43 goals, 66 assists and 631 penalty minutes. A native of Craik, Saskatchewan, Reich was signed as a free agent by Columbus on May 17, 2000.

Goehring, 27, has spent the past three seasons with the Crunch, appearing in 102 games with a 40-41-13 mark and a 2.62 goals against average. He ranks second on the Crunch's all-time goals against average (2.62) and shutouts (6) lists. His 40 career wins ranks third. The former University of North Dakota All-American went 17-14-6 with a 2.60 goals-against average, .917 save percentage and one shutout in 38 games with Syracuse in 2003-04. He posted a 18-21-4 mark in 2002-03 with a 2.67 goals-against average and .914 save percentage in 49 games with the Crunch.

Lakos, 24, appeared in 48 games with Vienna (Austria) last season, recording 6 goals, 19 assists and 75 penalty minutes. In 178 career AHL games with Albany and Utah, Lakos has recorded 2 goals, 31 assists and 122 penalty minutes. A native of Vienna, Austria, Lakos was originally selected by New Jersey in the third round, 95th overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Daft.
