Cleveland Barons News Release
CLEVELAND â The Cleveland Barons announced today a new corporate partnership with Rubbermaid. Michael T. Lehr, President of the Cleveland Barons, in conjunction with David Lumley, President of Rubbermaid Home Products, made the announcement.
The partnership will provide Rubbermaid with several unique marketing opportunities. Each Cleveland Barons official game puck will be emblazoned by a Rubbermaid logo. These official game pucks will be used during play and can also be purchased at souvenir stands.
A new feature to the 2004-05 season will be the "Rubbermaid Player of the Game". The Rubbermaid Player of the Game will be awarded to the Barons unsung hero, who is dependable and durable for each game during the regular season. During home games, the Rubbermaid Player of the Game will be honored and recognized by the crowd at the conclusion of the contest. At the end of the season, the player with the most Rubbermaid Player of the Game awards will be given a prize package from Rubbermaid.
"Rubbermaid has reached out and shown their support and dedication to not only Barons Hockey, but hockey in Northeast Ohio as well," stated Lehr. "The Rubbermaid Player of the Game will not only generate interest from the fans, but it helps create the standard of excellence and toughness expected from our players."
Based out of Fairlawn, OH, Rubbermaid Home Products is dedicated to supporting local businesses in the Northeast Ohio area.
"The Cleveland Barons are extremely active in their philanthropic efforts and Rubbermaid is proud to partner with such a community oriented company," stated Lumley. "The elements in our partnership will draw a great deal of attention, but more so, we believe in what the Barons bring to the table."
The Barons are set to open the 2004-05 home schedule when they drop the Rubbermaid game puck on Saturday, October 16th at Gund Arena at 7pm against the Manitoba Moose. Group tickets are available by calling the Barons Front Office at 216.420.0000. For Full Season and Partial Plan ticket information, Crash The Net at www.clevelandbarons.net.
