ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced that defenseman Matt Register has been released from his professional tryout agreement (PTO) with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, and will dress for Ontario in this afternoon's match against the Stockton Thunder at 3 p.m.

Register, 25, signed his second PTO of the season with the Wolves on Dec. 15, and played in six matches for Chicago, posting four assists and two penalty minutes.

The reigning ECHL Defenseman of the Year has already appeared in 22 games for Ontario this season, posting 19 points (4g-15a) and 20 penalty minutes.

Register will wear number 43 in Sunday's game.
