RH Doug Mathis (2-2, 4.24) vs. LH Chuck Lofgren (6-4, 5.15)

TONIGHT: The RedHawks seek a series split in the fourth and final game of this series at Greer Stadium against the Nashville Sounds (Milwaukee Brewers). OKC took yesterday's game 5-4, but trails this set 2-1 and the season series 4-3, with all games played so far in Nashville. Yesterday, each team in the American South Division beat its American North opponent after the opposite occurred on Saturday. OKC leads the American South by 3.5 games. Nashville is tied for third, a half-game back of the lead in the American North. Doug Mathis gets the start for OKC, his first this season against Nashville. Lefty Chuck Lofgren goes for Nashville.

NO THREES: OKC's 5-4 win yesterday stopped their road losing streak at 2 games. The RedHawks have not lost 3 road games in a row this season. At 19-14, the RedHawks have the PCL's third-best road record behind Fresno (22-13) and Omaha (18-12).

ANOTHER WINNING KIRKMAN START: OKC lefty Michael Kirkman improved to 7-1 with yesterday's win, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 5 hits in 6 innings. Kirkman added 5 walks and 6 strikeouts. The RedHawks have won 13 of Kirkman's 14 starts. Kirkman is tied with Iowa's Jay Jackson for the fourth-lowest opponents' batting average among PCL starters at .229.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH?: Chris Davis has hit safely in 18 of 19 games in June and is leading the PCL in batting average this month at .471 (32-for-68) with 3 homers and 13 RBIs. He's also tops in on-base percentage in June at .518 and hits with 32. Davis has hit safely in 8 straight (14-for-28) and has 2-hit games in each of his last 5 contests. For the season, Davis second in the PCL in hitting at .355 and tied for sixth in on-base percentage at .410.

TURNING ON THE JETS: Catcher Kevin Richardson stole second in yesterday's eighth inning, his first steal at any level since Aug. 5, 2006 against Midland, when he swiped his fourth and final base of that season for Double-A Frisco. Yesterday's steal was the 10th of his professional career, which began in 2002.

HOMER HAPPY: The RedHawks have homered in 8 straight games, totaling 13 in that span, and are 28-13 when hitting at least 1 homer in a contest. They are 11-17 when homerless. Gregorio Petit's solo shot in yesterday's fifth gave OKC the lead for good at 3-2. It was the RedHawks' 17th home run that tied a game or gave the RedHawks the lead from the fifth inning on, upping their record to 13-4 in that category.

TIDBITS: OKC is 1-8 in Monday games, with the lone win April 26 vs. Memphis...Pedro Strop notched his seventh save yesterday. OKC has won each of the last 5 games in which Strop has pitched...yesterday's game was the first all season that OKC won when scoring exactly 5 runs, improving their record to 1-6 when landing on 5 runs.

PITCHING NO. 1: OKC leads the PCL lead in team ERA at 3.50. Iowa is second at 3.52. The RedHawks have allowed the fewest home runs in the league (33), 15 fewer than the closest team, Tacoma. OKC has not allowed a homer in this series through 25 innings.
