Sean West pitched six innings allowing one run and earned his third win of the season as the Zephyrs defeated Memphis 2-1 on a hot Monday afternoon in Memphis. The Z's scattered nine hits, scored a run in the first and another on a sacrifice fly in the seventh to take the lead. Danny Richar scratched out three more hits for the Z's. The infielder had 11 hits in 18 at bats in the series. Brandon Dickson suffered the loss for the Redbirds pitching seven innings and allowed 2 runs on 8 hits. The Memphisoffense stranded ten men on base and the Z's bullpen closed the door in the ninth with good pitchin from dan Meyer and the first save of the season for Adalaberto Mendez. The Z's have won three of four.

Game Notes- Cameron Maybin joined the team on Monday from the Marlins. Reliever James Houser will be promoted on Tuesday to Florida. New Orleans lost the first four games of the trip but recovered winning three of four in Memphis.

Coming Up: The Zephyrs return home to play the Oklahoma City Redhawks on Tuesday night. The Zephyrs will send RH Rick VandenHurk (4-3, 5.40)to the mound to face RH Guillermo Moscoso (3-2, 3.61) RADIO WMTI 106.1 FM
