MEMPHIS, TN - New Orleans slipped by Memphis 2-1 Monday afternoon at AutoZone Park to hand the Redbirds their second home series loss of the year.

The Zephyrs claimed the lead in the seventh inning on Scott Cousins sacrifice fly to left field and then used a trio of relievers to seal the one-run victory. Memphis put the tying run on base in each of their last three at-bats but failed to tie the game, including leaving the bases loaded in the seventh. Danny Richar led the Z's with three hits and Cameron Maybin went 1-for-3 in his first game for New Orleans this season. Joe Mather and Ruben Gotay each had two hits for the 'Birds, who stranded 10 runners in the loss.

Memphis starter Brandon Dickson lost his first game since May 14 despite seven solid innings. The right-hander allowed just two runs on eight hits with no walks and six strikeouts in his fourth loss of the year. New Orleans starter Sean West picked up the win with a solid six-inning effort, giving up one run on six hits. Adalberto Mendez recorded the final out of the game to record his first save of the season.

Memphis welcomes in-state rival Nashville to town tomorrow night for the first game of a five-game series. The 'Birds are slated to send lefty Evan MacLane to the hill to face Sounds southpaw Chase Wright with game time scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tomorrow night fans can bring a KRAFT wrapper to the Redbirds box office to redeem it for a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer.
