TODAY'S OPPONENT:

The Fresno Grizzlies are the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Last season, the Grizzlies finished fourth in the Pacific South with a record of 61-83.

VS. FRESNO:

The RedHawks won three of four games last season at The Brick. The RedHawks pitching staff had a 2.13 ERA, allowing only nine earned runs in the series. The RedHawks lead the all-time series 37-17.

TODAY'S GAME:

This is game 110 of the season, the second of 4 meetings between Oklahoma and Fresno this season.

ROSTER MOVES:

Adam Fox was transferred to Double-A Frisco today. Jason Botts was recalled by Texas yesterday, and Travis Metcalf was opitoned to Oklahoma.

LAST GAME:

The RedHawks never trailed as they defeated the Grizzlies 9-3 last night. The RedHawks scored two runs on three hits in the first inning and never looked back. The Hawks added two more in the third and one in the fifh, building a 5-0 lead. The Grizzlies pulled within two runs on Scott McClain's 3-run homer in the sixth. The RedHawks answered back with three more runs in the seventh, including Nate Gold's 2-run homer. The Hawks added their final run in the ninth, taking a 9-3 lead. Victor Diaz led the way for the RedHawks at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a homer and three RBIs. Starter Mike Wood picked up his team-high ninth win of the season, allowing three runs on five hits in eight innings.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Robinson Tejeda

makes his second start of the season for the RedHawks. He lost his last start Saturday against Tacoma, allowing four runs on six hits in five innings. Tejeda hasn't faced the Grizzlies in his career. Matt Kinney pitches for the Grizzlies. Last season for Fresno, Kinney didn't figure in the decision in a start May 14 against the RedHawks at The Brick, tossing seven scoreless innings.

HAWKS ENJOY ROAD:

The RedHawks are 12-3 in their 15 road games. They have outscored their opponents 106-53 on the road in the last 15 games. The Hawks are hitting .301 with 22 homers in the last 15 road games. The pitching staff has a 3.00 ERA in during the same time as they've allowed more than three earned runs in a game only three times in the last 15 road games.

WOOD GETS QUALITY START:

Wood pitched his team-high 11th quality start of the season last night. His start last night was the first quality start for the RedHawks in nine games, dating back to Edinson Volquez's win July 24 against Portland.

TUG ROLLS INTO AUGUST: Tug Hulett

started August like he finished July, going 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored last night. He hit .336 with three home runs and nine RBIs in 26 games in July. Hulett has at least one hit in 28 of his last 31 games, and has seen his average go from .238 to .274 during that time. Hulett brings a 16-game road hitting streak into tonight's game.

STEADY FREDDY: Freddy Guzman

brings an 9-game hitting streak into tonight after going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three stolen bases last night. Guzman has reached base safely in 13 of his last 14 games.

VICTOR CONTINUES TO PRODUCE: Victor Diaz

is hitting .351 (20-57) with four homers and 20 RBIs over his last 14 games. Diaz has reached base safely at least once in eight of his last nine games.

LEAGUE LEADERS: Mike Wood

leads the PCL with a 3.23 ERA. Freddy Guzman leads the league with 41 stolen bases. Jason Botts goes to the big leagues, leading the PCL with a .436 on-base percentage, he's second with 36 doubles, fourth with 53 extra-base hits and seventh with a .320 batting average. Hulett is fifth with 76 runs scored.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

The RedHawks are 8-10 on Thursday this season...the Hawks scored first last night, ending an 8-game streak of allowing their opponent to score first...Drew Meyer and Hulett each stole a base to go along with Guzman's three to give the RedHawks a season-high five steals in one game...the bullpen has allowed only two earned runs over the last 17.1 innings with 15 strikeouts...
