Today's Game: The RedHawks took a 2-1 lead in their five-game series against Round Rock Friday, and the teams meet again at 7:05 p.m. at Dell Diamond. First-place Oklahoma City owns a seven-game edge on both Round Rock and Albuquerque in the PCL American Southern Division standings with 10 games remaining.

Last Game: The RedHawks rallied in the sixth inning as part of a 4-2 comeback win against Round Rock Friday at Dell Diamond. The Express took the first lead of the game on a RBI double by Jim Adduci and RBI single by Engel Beltre in the third inning. Express starting pitcher Josh Lindblom retired the first 14 RedHawks batters he faced, but Oklahoma City was able to break through in the sixth inning. Trevor Crowe hit a solo home run to center field to get OKC on the board. Jose Martinez singled and George Springer followed with a high fly ball to deep left field. Aaron Cunningham jumped at the wall, but it was just out of his reach. It resulted in Springer's 37th homer of the season and a 3-2 RedHawks lead. Oklahoma City added another run in the ninth on an RBI single by Marc Krauss. RedHawks starting pitcher Asher Wojciechowski (9-6) got his team-leading ninth win, allowing two runs and seven hits over 6.2 innings. He struck out six and walked one. Jorge De Leon fired a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn his fifth save.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Bobby Doran tries to build on back-to-back strong outings in his previous two starts...On Monday at home against Albuquerque, Doran pitched seven innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits. He walked three and struck out three in his second win with the RedHawks...It was his 10th total victory this year, giving him back-to-back seasons with double digit wins...In his previous two starts, Doran has allowed just three earned runs over 13 innings. Opponents have batted 6-for-43 during that time...He has left with the lead in each of his six starts with the RedHawks. On two occasions he was in line for a win, only to see a lead in the final inning slip away...Doran spent most of this season with Double-A Corpus Christi, pitching in 23 games and starting 13. With the Hooks he was 8-2 with a 3.26 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 94.0 IP. At the time of his promotion, his ERA and 1.17 WHIP each ranked sixth in the Texas League...Doran was selected by Houston in the fourth round of the 2010 draft from Texas Tech University...Tonight will be his first career outing against Round Rock.

Against the Express: 2013: 7-7 2012: 10-6 All-time: 75-66 In RR: 38-31

Oklahoma City's win Friday was the fourth in the past six games against the Express...In their most recent series, the RedHawks won two of three games at Dell Diamond July 8-10. OKC pitched shutouts in the first and last games, but the Express exploded for 11 in the middle contest. During that series, George Springer went 6-for-11 with three homers, a triple, and seven RBI...The road team is 9-5 this year, and Round Rock more than doubled its win total in OKC from 2012 (2), going 5-3...The Express has scored at least 11 runs in a game four times and thus has outscored the RedHawks, 82-61. However, the RedHawks have held Round Rock to two runs or less five times...Round Rock is once again led by Bobby Jones, the legendary RedHawks skipper who compiled 595 wins and five division titles over eight seasons. He also managed the team when they were the 89ers in 1993-1994.

High-Water Mark: The RedHawks currently own the best record in the PCL, and sit 20 games above .500 -- tying their season best. Oklahoma City has won eight of its last nine games.

Tales From the Trail: The RedHawks have won three of their last four road games and are 34-35 overall on the road this season. Oklahoma City has won 34 road games for the first time since 2008, when they won 36.

Chasing the Crown: George Springer hit his Minor League-leading 37th home run of the season Friday. He holds a three homer lead for the MiLB Joe Baumann Home Run Award. Springer also has 41 stolen bases, joining Ruben Rivera and Darryl Strawberry as the only minor leaguers over the past 40 years with at least 30 home runs and 40 stolen bases in the same season. Springer is trying to become the first Minor League player with a 40/40 season since Len Tucker of the unaffiliated Class B Pampa Oilers in 1956 (51 HR/47 SB). He has eight homers in the last 15 games and has collected 104 RBI (tied for third in the Minors) and scored 101 runs (tied for fifth in the Minors) overall this season, making him the only player currently in affiliated baseball (Majors or Minors) to have 100 of each.

Dinger Details: For the fourth time this season, the RedHawks have homered in four straight games. However, they have not be able to go deep in five straight quite yet.

Above Average: Although the RedHawks have allowed just 97 homers this season to rank third in the PCL, the Express have connected on 17 dingers in their 14 meetings with OKC (1.2 per game). The RedHawks on average allow 0.67 homers per game against all other PCL opponents...On the other hand, the RedHawks have hit 16 homers in their 14 games with the Express and average 0.72 homers per game against everyone else.

Pitching Prowess: The RedHawks have held their opponent to one or two runs in six of their last nine games.

Saving the Day: Jorge De Leon has racked up four saves over the team's past eight games. He's left little room for drama, retiring the side in order three times. Since making the jump to Triple-A, De Leon has allowed one run and eight hits over 12.1 IP.

BaKers Dozen: Round Rock's pitching staff combined to strike out 13 OKC batters Friday, setting a new season high by the RedHawks offense in a nine-inning game. The previous high was 12 on May 18 at Sacramento.
