
Tucson wins over Tacoma

Mike Wilson went 4-for-5 with five RBIs Friday in a 13-6 victory for the Tucson Padres over the Tacoma Rainiers at Kino Stadium. Tucson increased its winning streak to five and the team is now eight games over .500.
Wilson smashed a first-inning double off the batter's eye in center field to bring in two runs and give the Padres an early lead. Tucson tacked on three more runs in the third behind four hits, including Brandon Allen's two-run double to center and Gregorio Petit's RBI down the left field line. Wilson produced his third RBI of the game in the fourth with an RBI single to left.
The Rainiers scored their first run in the fifth on Leury Bonilla's RBI groundout. The Padres answered by sending nine batters to the plate in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs to extend the lead to 12-1. Wilson added two RBIs in the inning with a double to left field that brought home Reymond Fuentes and Daniel Robertson. The final run for Tucson scored in the sixth on Robertson's RBI single up the middle.
Matt Andriese earned his second win with Tucson, scattering one run on four hits in five innings of work. Andrew Carraway lost his seventh game for Tacoma, allowing nine runs on 11 hits in 4.1 innings. The Padres recorded 18 hits in the game, led by four-hit games from Wilson and Chris Robinson. Fuentes went 3-for-5 at the plate Friday and has now hit safely in all 12 of his games at the Triple-A level.
