FARGO, ND - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have acquired RHP Derrick Miramontes from the Grand Prairie AirHogs in exchange for RHP Chase Johnson.

Miramontes, 25, is 0-1 with a 4.20 ERA in 28 games (two starts) for Grand Prairie this season. He has pitched 45.0 innings and allowed 22 runs (21 earned) on 37 hits. Miramontes has struck out 32 batters and walked 12. In 2012, Miramontes was 7-1 with a 3.12 ERA in 43 games for the AirHogs.

In his career, Miramontes is 19-8 with a 3.15 ERA and 25 saves in 185 games. He began his professional career in 2009 with the Shreveport-Bossier Captains of the American Association and the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League. Miramontes pitcher for the River City (MO) Rascals of the Frontier League in 2010 and 2011.

Johnson was 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA with 13 saves in 24 games for Fargo-Moorhead this season. He struck out 19 batters and walked 17 in 20.0 innings pitched.
