Rochester Red Wings News Release

ROCHESTER, NY - Following tonight's game, Red Wings' left-handed relief pitcher Tyler Robertson was recalled by the Minnesota Twins.

Robertson will be the third Red Wing to making his major league debut with the Twins in 2012, joining shortstop Brian Dozier and righthander Cole De Vries. Robertson is the 10th Red Wing overall to get a promotion to the Twins this season, joining catcher Drew Butera, lefthander Scott Diamond, righthander Liam Hendriks, outfielder Darin Mastroianni, first baseman Chris Parmelee, outfielder Ben Revere, and righthander P.J. Walters.

Roberston, who was selected by the Twins in the third round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft, went 2-2 with two saves and a 3.77 ERA in an International League-leading 33 games for the Red Wings. He limited left-handed hitters to a .167 average (9-for-54) with 19 strikeouts and no home runs. The 6-foot-5, 257-pounder posted 33 strikeouts in 28.2 innings and allowed just four of his 25 inherited base runners to score.
