Bats Take Third Straight from PawSox

The Bats took game 3 Sunday afternoon 2-0 against the PawSox at McCoy Stadium. Mauro Gomez had two of the three hits for the PawSox with a double (23) in the fourth inning and a single in the ninth. Alex Hassan had a double (12) in the ninth. The PawSox stranded six runners on base.

Louisville scored in the third and fourth inning and stranded three runners on base in the eighth. Joey Gathright led the Bats with 4 of their 7 hits.

Doug Mathis (5-5) took the loss for the PawSox. He gave up five hits, two runs, and struck out six in six innings. For the Bats, Ryan Feierabend picked up the win. He pitched seven innings, gave up one hit, and struck out five.

The series with Louisville concludes tomorrow night at 7:05 pm. Justin Germano (8-3, 2.40) faces Chad Reineke (2-5, 4.20).
