NOT A SUNDAY FUNDAY: The Red Wings fell to 2-8 on Sundays, their worst record on any day of the week.

AW, MAN: The Red Wings were held to a season-low 2 hits for the 2nd time, matching their effort from a 2-0 loss April 18 against the Empire State Yankees at Frontier Field.

DON'T LUKE HERE: Luke French is 0-2 with an 11.91 ERA (15 ER/11.1 IP) in his last 3 starts.

TSUYOSHI WHAT HE DID?: Tsuyoshi Nishioka has reached base safely in 10 of his last 11 games, batting .302 (13-for-43) with 3 walks.

Charlotte Knights (44-34)

KNIGHT AND SHINING ARMOR: The Knights haven't lost more than 2 games in a row since a 3-game skid April 30-May 2.

MAXING OUT: Charlotte pitchers retired the last 19 batters they faced...they faced just 28 batters overall, one more than the minimum.

DAN'S THE MAN: Dan Johnson snapped a 10-game homer drought with a 2-run shot off Luke French in the 3rd...he has 13 RBI in his last 10 games...he has hit safely in 6 straight games, batting .333 (7-for-21) with 5 doubles and a home run.
