DEVILS 3 vs. Falcons 1
Lowell fell behind 1-0 in the first period on Wednesday night, but scored three unanswered goals to storm back for the victory at Tsongas Arena. Grant Marshall, Ryan Murphy and Petr Vrana scored ! for Lowell in the last home game against Springfield on the season. Jordan Parise picked up the win, making 23 saves.
Pirates 4 vs. DEVILS 3 (Shootout)
The Devils held leads of 2-1 and 3-2, but couldn't hold off the Portland attack, and eventually dropped a 4-3 shootout decision on Friday. &! nbsp;A small but energetic crowd braved a blizzard to attend the game, and was entertained by a back-and-forth affair that saw 70 total shots. Ryan Murphy, Mike Pandolfo and Chris Minard all lit the lamp for Lowell.
DEVILS 2 vs. Wolf Pack 0
Jordan Parise made 36 saves, including 28 in the first two periods, for his first career shutout, 2-0, over Hartford in the final meeting of the season series. Chris Minard scored the game winner in the second period, his team-leading 26th of the season. Dan LaCouture added his eighth of the season into an empty net in the game's waning moments.
In the standings
Although still in fourth place in the tight Atlantic Division, the Devils have picked up 12 out of a possible 14 points over the last two weeks. They have moved within two points of the third place Providence Bruins, and three points of the second-place Hartford Wolf Pack. The Worcester Sharks have kept pace, sitting three points behind the Devils in fifth place. Only 10 points separate first place from fifth place in the Atlantic.
Roster Changes
RW David Clarkson and C Rod Pelley remain on recall to New Jersey. Lowell signed C Brad Mills to an Amateur Try-Out contract on Friday night. The rookie recently completed his four-year college career at Yale University, and he played in both games over the weekend.
Coming Up
The Devils have only two games this week, traveling to Portland to take on the Pirates at 7:05 p.m. on Friday night. They return home to host the first-place Manchester Monarchs on Saturday, March 24th at 7:05 p.m. at Tsongas Arena.
The Devils host a pair of games the following weekend, with Portland in town on Guns & Hoses Night on Friday, March 30th. The first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative Guns & Hoses Lowell Devils puck, courtesy of Trinity Emergency Medical Services. On Saturday, March 31st against the Providence Bruins the first 1,000 fans will receive a Devil Dawg Bobblehead, sponsored by TD Banknorth.

Around the Horns
In their last 25 games, since the weekend of the AHL All-Star Break (January 26th), the Devils have gone from last place in the Atlantic Division to within three points of second place. They have gone 15-4-2-4 in those 25 games.
The Devils have extended their unbeaten streak to 5-0-0-3 in their last eight games. They also are riding a season-high six-game unbeaten streak on the road (5-0-0-1) heading into Friday's game in Portland.
Lowell is 9-2-1-2 in their last 14 games at home.
The Devils wrapped up their series with the Hartford Wolf Pack, holding a 5-2-0-1 record in eight matches. That included a 3-0-0-1 record at the Hartford Civic Center.
D Mike Mottau has six assists in his last four games and is now second on the team in assists, despite missing the first 35 games of the season to injury. He has 13 assists in his last 13 games and 22 assists total in 31 games.
C Ryan Murphy has points in each of his last four games (3g-3a) and is a plus-6.
D Tomas Harant has eight assists in his last nine games.
F Tuomas Pihlman had a three-game point streak from 3/11 "" 3/16 (1g-2a).
G Jordan Parise recorded his first pro shutout on Sunday. He had 12 shutouts during his four-year tenure at the University of North Dakota, including six his senior season. The Devils are 8-1-1-2 in his last 12 starts, and his goals against average has dropped from 3.05 to 2.70 during that stretch. He ranks 17th in the league in GAA, and fifth among rookie goaltenders.
RW David Clarkson recorded his first career NHL points on Saturday, notching 1g-1a in a loss against Carolina. It was the second game of his first NHL stint since being recalled last week. Clarkson remains third on the Lowell Devils in points, second in goals and first in penalty minutes.
