Mojzis Recalled by the Blues Under Emergency Conditions

Peoria, Ill. (March 19, 2007) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that defenseman Tomas Mojzis (MOI-shihsh) has been recalled from loan under emergency conditions from the Peoria Rivermen, the team's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

Mojzis, 24, has played in 61 games with Peoria this season, registering 21 points (one goal, 20 assists) along with 96 penalty minutes. He has skated in seven career NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks, recording one assist and 12 penalty minutes.

The Kolin, Czech Republic native was acquired from the Vancouver Canucks in a trade for Eric Weinrich on March 9, 2006. Mojzis was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs as their eighth round selection, 246th overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
