Ontario Clippers News Release
DES MOINES, Iowa - Coming off their first loss of the season, the Agua Caliente Clippers (3-1) take down the Iowa Wolves (1-2) on Friday night, 130-102, thanks to a red hot shooting night from the field.
With only a three point lead heading into the half, the Clippers began to pull away, opening the third frame with a 27-9 run to pull their lead to 21 points. The fourth quarter saw much of the same as they closed the game on a 20-5 run. They would finish the game with their best shooting night of the season, making 53.9 percent of their field goals (48-89).
James Palmer Jr. led the Clippers offense with a huge 36 points on an efficient 11-for-17 shooting from the field. Two-way forward Johnathan Motley added a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds.
The Wolves were paced by Jaylen Nowell's 19 points in 20 minutes. Two-way player Jordan McLaughlin added 16 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.
The Clippers head to Sioux Falls on Saturday, Nov. 16, to take on the Skyforce on the tail end of a back-to-back. The ballgame tips off at 5 p.m. PST inside the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
