Red Deer, AB - The Calgary Hitmen saw their four-game winning streak come to an end Thursday night with a 4-1 loss to the Rebels in Red Deer at Peavey Mart Centrium.

Sophomore forward David Adaszynski counted his ninth goal of the season for the lone Hitmen tally on a night where Calgary outshot the home side 29-27.

Kai Uchacz paced the Rebels with a hat-trick to take over the league lead in goals with 29 moving two ahead of Connor Bedard. Frantisek Formanek rounded out the scoring for the Rebels who jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead.

In the goaltending department Rhett Stoesser made 28 saves for Red Deer while Ethan Buenaventura turned aside 23 shots for the Hitmen.

Calgary, 18-10-3-1 will now get to the host the Rebels in a rematch on New Year's Day, Sunday, Jan. 1. Game time is 1:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome for another Sunday Funday, presented by Brookfield Residential. In addition to $2 sips and snacks specials all game long, look for concourse activities from TELUS Spark and a cast of characters outfitted by the Costume Shoppe. There are also $6 Hitmen Happy Hour food and drink deals throughout the day and a post-game family skate.
