Royals Trade Cunningham to Oil Kings for 2025 Fifth Round Pick

Victoria, B.C. - The Victoria Royals have acquired a 2025 fifth round pick from the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for 2005-born goaltender Logan Cunningham.
Cunningham has made 11 total appearances in net for the Royals since making his WHL debut early in the 2021-2022 season.
In nine appearances for Victoria this year, he posted an 0-5-0-0 record with a .821 save percentage (SV%) and a 5.35 goals against average (GAA).
The Sherwood Park, AB product spent his minor hockey career with Northern Alberta Xtreme Prep, playing for their U15, U16 and U18 squads from 2019 to 2022.
The 17-year-old was originally selected by the Royals with the 150th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
