
RBNY to Host Annual Red Bulls High School Cup Saturday

SECAUCUS, NJ (June 16, 2009) - Red Bull New York will host its annual Red Bulls High School Cup on June 20 at Giants Stadium following the New York Red Bulls' match against Seattle Sounders FC at 7:30 PM ET. This exclusive event brings together the top New York and Connecticut outgoing high school seniors to play a team of those from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as the states battle for bragging rights in this All-Star showdown. Players were selected based on nominations from coaches and individuals familiar with local high school soccer.
The All-Star weekend begins on Friday, June 19, where every player will participate in a practice session, exclusive meet and greets with the Red Bulls players and coaches and a private reception. On the following day, the players will be recognized at halftime of the Red Bulls-Seattle Sounders match. The weekend will culminate in the 2009 Red Bulls High School Cup.
