Real Salt Lake News Release
SANDY, Utah (Wednesday, June 17, 2009) - As part of Real Salt Lake's continuing outreach to Utah's youth soccer community, the Major League Soccer club is proud to present the second annual Real Salt Lake Summer Soccer Series. This year's series of ten free soccer clinics - five of which will be conducted bilingually (English/Spanish) - will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. MT, beginning with this evening's session at Rose Park Elementary School in Salt Lake City. The clinics, conducted by the RSL Youth Soccer staff, players, and coaches, are geared towards children ages 5-17. Pre-registration is encouraged, but on-site sign up is also available. All participants will receive a free RSL Summer Soccer Series t-shirt.
"It's our philosophy that as an organization we are accessible ambassadors of our sport," said Real Salt Lake President Bill Manning. "We, along with our corporate partners, are proud to bring yet another grassroots initiative, free-of-charge, to our surrounding community every Wednesday, introducing soccer to as many of Utah's youths as possible."
Registration for the Real Salt Lake Summer Soccer Series is open to the public, but a limited number of spots are available.
