
Chicago Fire Soccer And Univision Radio Proud To Present: Festival Orgullo Mexicano

CHICAGO, IL (June 17, 2009) - Chicago Fire Soccer and Univision Radio are proud to present Festival Orgullo Mexicano at TOYOTA PARK. The family-focused festival includes a four-day carnival held at TOYOTA PARK from June 25th-28th. Admission to the carnival is free and tickets for the rides can be purchased on site. A complete schedule for the Festival Orgullo Mexicano can be found below.
In addition to a four-day carnival, the festival will include a Teen Dance Party on Friday, June 26 in the East Parking Lot from 7-11 p.m featuring DJ Spin Doctor and Junior "JR." Lopez mixing live, and a Movie in the Park, Kung Fu Panda, to be held in the stadium starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission for each of the events is just $2 dollars.
The Festival Orgullo Mexicano will also feature Lucha Libre Mexicana in the stadium on Sunday, June 28 at 4:00 p.m. General admission tickets for the professional wrestling event are available in advance for $15 or on the day of the event for $20. Ten-dollar tickets are available for children 10-years and younger on the day of the event. Reserved seating floor seats are also available for $75. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster or at the TOYOTA PARK box office.

"The four-day festival will offer members of the community a variety of opportunities to enjoy affordable family focused entertainment at our great state of the art stadium."

Stated Doug Levy, Station Manager/ Vice President for Univision Radio Chicago, "We saw the obvious benefits of a premier venue like Toyota Park and decided it was the ideal place to host an event where Hispanic families could enjoy themselves. The Village of Bridgeview was extraordinarily gracious about helping us create this inaugural event and their support and cooperation made this possible."
The Festival Orgullo Mexicano is being held in conjunction with the Fire's SuperLiga competitions. The Fire will face San Luis on June 20 (7 p.m. CT), Chivas USA on June 23 (7 p.m. CT) and Tigres UANL on June 27 (7 p.m. CT). The Fire will host a doubleheader for their match on June 23 as San Luis and Tigres UANL face off following the Fire's match (9 p.m.). Fans who arrive early for the Fire versus Tigres UANL match will receive free parking before 4 p.m.
