Real Salt Lake News Release
Real Salt Lake Preps for Lone Star State Showdown Saturday at Houston Dynamo
With its first road win of 2009 in the bag thanks to a 2-0 result at Los Angeles last Saturday, Real Salt Lake (4-6-3, 15 pts.) will next set its sights on gaining ground on the Western Conference co-leading Houston Dynamo (8-2-3, 27 pts.) when the two sides hook up this Saturday, June 20, in the Lone Star State. Kickoff from Robertson Stadium in Houston is set for 6:30 p.m. MT for a contest that will be televised live on KUTV 2.2 Digital / Comcast 111, beginning with the America First Credit Union Pre-match Report at 6:00 p.m. MT. Fans can also follow the action live via RSL's official radio partners: KALL 700 Sports (America First Credit Union Pre-Match Report begins at 5:30 p.m.) and "Ke Buena" 1600-AM.
This Saturday's match will mark the first of three meetings in as many months between the two Western Conference combatants, with RSL set to host the Dynamo at Rio Tinto Stadium on Aug. 15, before returning to Houston on Sept. 19, for the finale in the season series. Real Salt Lake enters the weekend with a 2-5-2 record against Houston, but it is still looking to bring back its first points from Robertson Stadium after going 0-4-0 there across the last three seasons. If recent history is any indication fans can expect a shootout on Saturday, as the Dynamo have downed Real Salt Lake by a 4-3 scoreline in each of the last two meetings in Texas, including last season's wild affair on Aug. 16, that featured seven different goal scorers between the two sides.

Jean Alexandre Authors Goal While on Loan with Aztex
Real Salt Lake MF Jean Alexandre served another loan stint with the USL First Division's Austin Aztex last weekend, and the rookie took full advantage by earning a pair of starts in the squad's road contests at the Puerto Rico Islanders and Miami FC. Alexandre's second stint with the Aztex in the last three weeks got off to a promising start last Friday in Puerto Rico, as his 35-yard blast at the end of the first half brought the visitors to within 1-2, but that would be the only goal for Austin in an eventual 1-4 defeat. Alexandre then made a homecoming to South Florida for the back-half of the weekend doubleheader at Miami FC, putting in the full 90 minutes once again, this time in a 0-2 Aztex loss. Alexandre returned to the RSL camp on Tuesday and is expected to be available for selection for the Claret-and-Cobalt this Saturday at Houston.
