
Rays Take On Texas Tonight

N. Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and Texas Wildcatters play tonight at the North Charleston Coliseum at 4 p.m. Live coverage will begin on the Real 1340am at 3:45 p.m. with the Benito's Pre-game Show with Mike Kelly, "Voice of the Rays."
Tonight is the sixth meeting between the two teams with the 'Catters leading the season series 3-1-1 including two wins in South Carolina.
The Wildcatters are 27-13-4-4 this season and are tied for first in the division with the Gwinnett Gladiators; both teams have 62 points. Mike Bayrack leads the team with 53 points on 21 goals and 32 assists, but it's Olivier Proulx who has been the most dangerous against South Carolina with four goals and nine points in the five games.
The Stingrays improved their record to 25-18-3 with last night's victory over the Dayton Bombers and now have 53 points on the season. Evan Schwabe leads the offense against Texas with three goals and eight points. Peter Szabo has also contributed six points in the efforts against Texas on one goal and five assists.
The Stingrays and 'Catters each are on a one-game winning streak with Texas defeating Charlotte last night.
Come out to the game tonight as the Stingrays look to extend their home-winning streak to a season-high eight games. It's Kid's Day at the North Charleston Coliseum presented by Carolina Ice Palace, which offers a $5 ticket for kids 12-and-under.
